History

Beasley Concrete, Inc. has been providing ready mix concrete and precast concrete products for over 80 years.  Founded by Robert R. "Bob" and Ilva Beasley in 1937, we have continued to be a family-owned and operated business and have grown to four main ready-mix concrete plants.  With four locations, including Callao, Milford, Millers Tavern and Kilmarnock, we are able to provide excellent service in the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula, Richmond and Fredericksburg areas.

The dream of Beasley Concrete started as a side job with Bob making well curbs by lantern light under a tree in his yard at night after working his day job.  In 1937, Bob purchased his first concrete truck and Beasley Concrete was born!

In 1962, Bob's son, Ray, came to work full time at the plant.

The Milford plant was purchased in 1972 to provide service to Fredericksburg, Richmond and the surrounding counties.

In 1983 the Kilmarnock plant was built.

In 1983, Ray's oldest son, Rob, started full time followed by the youngest son, Bill, in 1994.

Also in 1994, a 4th generation Beasley became a radio sensation when she started the slogan for Beasley Concrete while staring in radio commercials on the local radio station.  "The Best Concrete in the Whole Wide World!" was made famous when Rob's oldest daughter, Katlyn, started recording radio spots on WRAR.  Rob's youngest daughter, Shelby, and son, Kyle, have also been involved in making commercials and working at the plant throughout the years.  The 5th generation is currently in training and will be debuting in the near future!

In 1996, the Millers Tavern plant was built.
